Roller Bearing Types
Description:
Jasper Industrial carries a wide assortment of roller bearings which can typically be categorized as cylindrical or spherical. They are ideal where there is the possibility for misalignment or axial displacement applications and are used in a wide variety of industrial applications.

- Cylindrical Roller bearings carry radial load only and can accommodate both expansion and contraction. The relative axial displacement of one ring to the other occurs with minimum friction while the bearing is rotating. Separable components simplify mounting and removal and is designed to supports heavy radial loads but is not suitable for applications with thrust loads.
- Double Row Cylindrical Roller bearings two-row, or double-row, cylindrical bearings are designed for additional strength in carrying radial loads and can accommodate both expansion and contraction. As with the single row cylindrical roller bearing the relative axial displacement of one ring to the other occurs with minimum friction while the bearing is rotating. Separable components simplify mounting and removal and is designed to supports heavy radial loads but is not suitable for applications with thrust loads.
- Single Row Tapered Roller bearings are the most basic and widely used type of tapered roller bearings. It consists of two main separable parts: inner race assembly and the outer race and is typically mounted in opposing pairs on a shaft. Additionally, there are multiple types.of these bearings for a wide range of industrial uses. Also available as a Double Row.
